Jesus Leza- Supervisor for Mechanical Maintenance, City of San Antonio.
Mr. Brad Croft last year introduced to us his Salt Chlorine Converter System. We tested his equipment for one entire month. In general the salt chlorine converter system performed for the entire month in a very efficient and excellent manner. The swimming pool was filled with water and Mr. Croft added the necessary granular salt before the activation of his equipment. The PH was balanced with CO2 gas.
During the month process, I was taking daily manual readings and for the entire month the Cl was 3.0 + and the Ph 7.6 average. He also connected the equipment to the world web and we have the capability to monitor the system at any given time and from any computer. The system had capability to give us warnings about any fluctuation in chemicals injection. The equipment had also the capability to do alternative via world web. The equipment in its initial part may be expensive but, in the long run it would generate money savings for its efficiency during its use. Other features that his equipment provides is it’s safety design. Since the converter generates its own chlorine and the Ph is balance with CO2 gas and you would never see any chemical leak or spill or have any accidents to the maintenance personnel.
Mr. Croft was very responsive every time that I needed to make contact with him. He provides me and my superiors very well prepared information’s about his equipment during our interview/meeting with him before the testing.
The factors needed or contributed for its excellent performance during our testing were as follows:
- The swimming pool has to be at its minimum of water leaks to prevent loss of salt.
- The daily evaporation would not take the salt away from your swimming pool.
- The addition of make up water due to backwash of the filters has to be done in accordance with the filter specifications. The excessive loss of water due to unnecessary long periods of backwashing will make you lose salt.
- The pool water would not taste salty
- The generation of chlorine will not corrode any of your pump, piping equipment or building.
Practically, the equipment is suitable for your needs. Please, if you have any other questions, feel free to contact me via email.
